Healthy Food Recipes - Veg Fried Rice for Kids!

Ingredients:
  • Basmati Rice – 200 grams
  • Onion – 1 nos
  • Carrot – 1 nos
  • Beans- 10 nos
  • Potato – 1 nos (Optional)
  • Pepper – ½ spoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Sugar – ¼ spoon
  • Oil – 3 spoon
  • Ghee – 1 spoon
  • Ginger/ Garlic Paste – ½ spoon
Method:
  1. Wash and soak the basmati rice for half an hour and drain it.

  3.  Boil 500ml of water in a deep pan, and once it starts boiling add the drained basmati rice and allow the rice to boil for some time. Then see whether the boiled rice is neither so softy or very hard to press. At this stage add ¼ spoon of salt, 1 tbsp of oil and add stir well. Finally drain the 90 percent cooked rice.

  5. Spread evenly on a plate and keep aside for 10 minutes to cool completely. Use as required.
  6. Cut down the vegetables into small even sized pieces.
  7. Heat 3 spoons of oil in a kadai, till it smokes.
  8. Then add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté it. Then immediately add the chopped onion.
  9. Then add the chopped carrot, beans, potato one by one and stir well.
  10. Add the required salt and mix well.




  11. Stir the contents once in 2 minutes, so as to mix the veggies evenly.
  12. Then after 5 minutes, add pepper to it.
  13. Once the vegetables gets boiled, add ¼ spoon of sugar. Mix well and remove from the heat.



  14.  Then add the already boiled rice to it and mix well. Healthy and colourful fried rice to ready to serve!

  16.  This fried rice will go fine with the curd salad or with the tomato sauce.
  17. Vegetable fried rice, this yummy colourful fried rice is ideal for kids– no spillage and just the right poise of nutrients from veggies and sprouts.
  18.  This is the apt lunch food for children.
Note:
  • You can also add the boiled bean sprouts to this fried rice.
  • Several vegetables including capsicum, cabbage, and spring onion can also get incorporated in this veg fried rice.
