The central government has announced that Aadhar card is not compulsory for Employees Provident Fund Transactions.
The minister for Labour Welfare, Mr. Bandaru Dtaatreya, informed this when a question was raised in Lok Sabha.
The minister informed that it will not be necessary to furnish details of Aadhar card for the transactions on Employees Provident.
EPFO has started allotting Unique PF Account number across the country . It was expected that Aadhar card would be required for this. However, it was clarified that Aadhar card details will not be required for EPF transactions.
