Cut down both the vegetables cabbage and beans into small even sized pieces.
Heat the pan and add oil to it. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds for tempering.
Fry till the mustard seed make a popping sound and make sure you don’t burn them.
Then add urad dal and once it turns maroonish golden, add green chilli or red chilli, curry leaves and chopped onion. Stir well.
Then add the cabbage and beans one after the other.
Sprinkle a pinch of turmeric powder, salt as required and add the required quantity of water and close the lid, so that to allow the vegetables to get boil well.
Else you can pressure cook the vegetables for 1 whistle.
Then add the ground nut powder and mix well.
Stir it for 1 minute and the hot cabbage and beans Poriyal is ready to serve.
Note:
As we are adding the ground nut powder, this dish will be a healthy and tasty food item especially for children.
This side dish will goes fine for any rice.
Also, this dry Poriyal will suit well for the chapatti lovers.
Instead of the usual kind of Poriyal, as we are blending two veggies, it will be tastier and healthy too!
