TASMAC liquor shops to remain closed on Thiruvalluvar day!

Chennai District Collector, Ms. A. Sundaravalli, announced that all TASMAC liquor shops in Chennai will remain closed on Thiruvalluvar Day on 16th January & republic Day on 26th January.
The shops and bars will remain closed on these 2 festival days under the liquor shop Act 2003 & Tamil Nadu Liquor shop Act 1981.
The bars in hotels & Clubs also will remain closed.
Any failure to compliance will result in legal action taken on the offending parties.
