The central finance minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley, has subtly indicated that there may be no taxes in the coming budget.
The minister was participating in the Investors’ Conference at Davos, Switzerland and indicated this while addressing the participants.
The finance minister informed that all unfair proposals regarding taxation will be rejected. He told that a standard has steady policy regarding this has been set.
He said that additional taxation per se will not bring revenue but only public dissatisfaction about the government.
He told that incentives will be offered in the budget to improve productivity.
