Petrol bunk owners have announced that they are going to protest on 31st January in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry by stopping purchase of fuel.
The president of the Petrol Distributors’ Association, Mr. K. P. Murali informed that the oil corporations deviated from the normal trend of announcing the price change on the 15th of every month and this time, they announced the price change after a day’s delay only on 16th January.
Hence they have decided to go on a protest against this deviation.
All the petrol bunk owners & dealers are set to incur huge losses.
The price reductions announced so far has resulted in losses Rs. 3 Lakhs to Rs. 5 Lakhs for every dealer on their stock. This has made the dealers to run their bunks under loss every month.
The oil corporations to ensure that the sales of the stocked fuel should not incur losses.
