ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu has proposed to start a scheme for training rural people on digital technology and its applications.

This training scheme will function on the basis of the ‘Digital India’ scheme proposed by the central government.

ICT Academy’s Director, Mr. Lakshminarayanan, informed:

The annual conference, ‘Bridge’, conducted by ICT Academy,  is scheduled to start on 17th February at the Chennai Trade Centre. The theme for this year (2015) will be ‘The Big Digital World’.

As per the ‘Digital India’ plan charted by the central government, at least one member in every family in India should be knowledgeable about the digital technology by the year 2020.

ICT Academy has planned to achieve this target by organising training programme on digital technology as applied to day-to-day life through the public service centres and colleges.
