The 1st Assembly Session for the year 2015 tomorrow in Tamil Nadu!

The first assembly session in Tamil Nadu Assembly 2015 is set to start tomorrow (Tuesday, 17th February).
 
All arrangements have been completed for the session including the laying of red carpets for the governor.

The tables before the Ministers’ and opposition leaders have been removed for this purpose.

As the governor will be seated on the Assembly Speaker seat while addressing the start of the 1st session, a separate seat has been provided nearby for the speaker. The assembly has been decorated with ribbons,etc.

Governor Rosaiah will be addressing at 11.35 AM tomorrow (17th February). He will present details of the states plan and new schemes. The speech will the n be translated in Tamil.
 
It was already announced that the Assembly session was scheduled to start by 10.45 AM tomorrow. However, it has now been announced there will be a delay of 30 minutes and the session will start only by 11.15 AM.

The first session will be over after the governor’s speech.
 
This will be followed by a meeting regarding the office agenda presided by the speaker, Mr. P. Dhanapal. Opposition leaders will also participate and a decision will be taken on the dates and days of the assembly sessions.
 
Wednesday, 18th February, is a holiday for the Assembly. There will be a discussion on the ‘Vote of Thanks’ given to the governor’s address. This may last 4 days. On the last day, the Chief Minister, Mr. O. Panneerselvam, will answer the proceedings’ questions after which the session will be declared closed.
 
The dates for budget presentation will then be announced. The Chief Minister, Mr. O. Panneerselam, who holds the portfolio for Finance, will present the budget.
 
It is to be noted that the session on the subsidy demands was conducted only after the parliamentary elections.
