Prospects of reduction in lending interest rates!

Information has been gathered that there are prospects for the Reserve Bank of India to reduce the lending interest rates by 0.5%.
Several research outfits including the CitiGroup are of the opinion that the recent Reserve Bank of India report on the recent downtrend in inflation and the stagnation in economy may indicate a possible reduction in the lending interest rates.
The reduction in the lending interest rates may be carried out in 2 stages.during March & April at 0.25% reduction each time.
