Online and mobile booking of LPG cylinders blocked

Chennaites were shocked when they came to know that online and mobile booking of LPG cylinders has been blocked by LPG distributors in the city.
Under the modified DBTL norms, consumers who do not have Aadhaar need to submit only bank account details to the LPG distributor and the 17-digit LPG identity number to the bank, to claim subsidy. But even these norms have not been complied by some consumers.
This is to ensure that the customers comply with the required norms under the Modified Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG (DBTL) scheme.
The facility would be restored once the documents are submitted.
