As per the announcement by Election Commission, Aadhar Card Number, Cell Phone Number and some personal details will be linked to voter ID.
Special Camps will be organised to complete this task. During this, any mistakes in the name spelling or date of birth can also be corrected.
When Aadhar card details are linked to Voter ID, fingerprints of the voters will be taken during next election in 2019. This step will ensure complete prevention of duplication in voting.
