Tamil Nadu State Government’s Budget for the year 2015-16 is to be presented in the Legislative Assembly on 25th March.
Assembly session started on 17th February and ended on 23rd. The dates for budget session were eagerly awaited.
The expectations are more eager as this will be the 1st budget presented by the Chief Minister, Mr. O. Panneerselvam after he assumed this post. The public has been quite eager to know the details whether there are any new schemes to be announced especially in the absence of former CM, Jayalalithaa.
Budget session is scheduled to be on 25th March. It is expected that the budget will be presented to the Assembly on the same day.
Assembly Secretary, Mr. Jamaludeen, has made a press release:
As per the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Act 26(1), the speaker has called for Assembly’s next session at 10.00 AM on 25th March. The budget for 2015-16 will be presented on this day.
Governor has informed that all demands for subsidy advances have to be made on 28th March. So, budget is set to be presented at 10.00 AM on 25th March.
The final supplementary finance status for 2014-15 will be presented on 28th March.
