The 2nd phase of analytical checking of the performance of the Metro Rail section Koyambedu-Alandur is scheduled to be carried out during the end of this month. The testing & analysis will be carried out by team led by the Railway Security Commissioner from Bangalore.
Metro Rail project is progressing 2 sections – between Washermanpet & Airport covering 23.05 km and between Central & St, Thomas Mount covering a distance of 22.50 km.
19 Railway stations will be located underground and 13 railway stations will be at the normal ground level for a total of 32 stations.
In the 1st phase, the section between Koyambedu & Alandur covering a distance of 10 km has been completed.
Performance checks were carried out by a team from the Railway Security Commissioner’s office. Now, the 2nd phase of the testing activity is set to start.
