Agricultural officers who go to village can be monitored

Agricultural officers go to village in connection with agricultural works and other related issues. Now a new scheme has been introduced to monitor that whether these agricultural officers are really in their fields. They can be monitored through internet from headquarters. 

Tamil Nadu government has implemented a new scheme in which it paves way for the improvement agriculture and farmers. 

Under this scheme for every assistant agricultural officer, 8 villages are allotted to them. Every one of them will visit the villages during the first two weeks of the month. They will be there from Mondays to Thursdays. They will check the pest infested plants and give a solution to this. They will also collect the grievances of the farmers. 

In order to monitor the officers, a new technology has been used. Under this new system, the officers can be monitored from headquarters.  The officers have handheld computers which are fit with GPS. With this facility one can be tracked. All the agricultural field officers can be tracked from all district and state headquarters.
