Procurement of suburban electric train ticket through cell phone-facility from today!

Facility to procure tickets for suburban electric trains is being introduced from today.
In the 1st phase, this facility is introduced in the section Tambaram-Chennai Egmore.
Central Railway Minister, Mr. Suresh Prabhu, inaugurated through video-conferencing.
Through this system known as ‘ticket without reservation’, crowding at the station counters will be reduced greatly. Also, paper usage is expected to come down considerably.
This ‘App’ can be downloaded from internet to the cell phones and used.
With this App, tickets can be procured 1 hour in advance of the journey.
Facility to renew Railway season tickets has also been introduced.
