Here comes the great opportunity for the citizens in Tamil Nadu to have a special privilege of having inclusion and exclusion of names and others details from the Voters ID. The news comes officially from the desk of Tamil Nadu Electoral Chief Sandeep Saxena.
In this statement, he has mentioned saying, “The process is already on to include the Aadhar No. to the Voters ID. As per the database collected on January 1 which involves the details of 5 Crores 62 Lacs to be added is happening shortly. According to the reports sourced on April 22, around 3 Crore voters data has been collected and almost 1 Crore 82 Lakhs has been already recorded. This almost measures up to 55% has been received, 33% recorded and everyday a monstrous figure of 10-15 Lakhs database of voters has been collected.
Till now various places across Tamil Nadu including, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Perambalur, Ariyalur and Kovai, we have 70% of voters details. Much specifically, Paalakodu in Dharmapuri district has the maximum details collected from the residents.
In Chennai 38,35,000 voters exist and around 10 lakhs details have been already collected. 5 lakhs people have already sent their details through SMSs, internet and telephones. Apart from this applications for change of photos, change of place , change of constituency have been obtained from 72 thousand people. They will be given voter ID card without any charge.
Those who was missed or lost their cards can apply by paying Rs 25. In order to speed up this process special camps are to be set up 64 thousands 94 booths on 26th of this month.
