Perfect way to brush your teeth

Brushing your teeth is one of the regularly practiced habits which you should be remembering obviously from your childhood. However, according to experts, there is a huge surge in complaints with dental problems that are all due to improper brushing habits. One of the very primitive mistakes people make is the wrong choice of brush.
 
There are so many companies that sell brushes of varied types – soft, medium, hard bristles, curved, etc. That’s obvious that people will be confused with these many choices. When you can get vigorous cleaning with hard bristles, they also can havoc on your gums due to prolonged use. You may even unknowingly erode your tooth enamel. It is recommended to use soft or mostly medium bristles. These brushes will be helpful in removing off the leftover food particles from your mouth.
 
Do you practice changing toothbrush routinely?
When did you last change your toothbrush? If you say six months ago, you are probably inviting trouble to your dental health. You ought to change your toothbrush every ten weeks, yes you need to. In the mean time, before 10 weeks, if your brush’s bristles go weak, you certainly have to change it earlier.
 
How do you brush your teeth?
You need to be cautious about the technique you follow while brushing. Do you have your brush held straight? Is your action back and forth? If yes, you are incorrect.
 
The proper way of brushing is to practice circular movements. By making straight actions, you involuntarily wear off the enamel on your tooth that will increase tooth sensitivity at times of consuming cold or sweet items. Also, make sure to brush at least for a minute or half a minute with circular movements.
 
Whitening toothpastes – NO NO:
Yeah, it’s obvious that you may get tempted to get your tooth whitened with the use of whitening toothpaste. But that’s not recommended. Such toothpastes offer very little cavity protection. You also need to be aware of the amount of toothpaste you use for brushing. Enough if you just take a small amount of it, and that would suffice, verily.
 
Care for your tongue too:
While tooth and brush are friends inside, why do you be partial while brushing? Give your tongue a gentle brushing when you do it to your tooth. Do not neglect or ignore it. Your tongue can get easily decayed and give rise to bad breath or dental woes.
 
Make sure to bring it a practice to floss at least thrice a week. It is recommended to use alcohol-free mouthwashes.
