Tamil Nadu Tourism Corporation is to promote Helicopter Tourism in order to attract tourists from all over the country and abroad. Talks are being held with Indian Government’s Pawan Hans Helicopter in this regard.
Talks were held with the officials. It has been decided to have helicopter services in Madurai, Rameswaram and Kanyakumari. In the first phase, services between Madurai and Ramanathapuram and Madurai- Kanyakumari will be started. It was mentioned in the meeting that 4 acres of land were already identified for the helipad in Kodaikanal.
