There seems to be a reduction in sale of mobile phones in India. In the past 20 years, this is for the first time that the sale of mobile phones in India has met such a low, especially when the sales was expected to surge incredibly.
In the first quarter of the year 2015, sales of mobile phones is reduced by 14.5%. In the fourth quarter of last year, 2014, nearly 6.2 crore mobile phones got sold. This got reduced to 5.3 crore.
In a span of one quarterly, there is a reduction in sale by 7.14%. Feather phones that are priced too low are also facing this issue with sales as it is reduced by 18.3%.
In 2014, India stood out as the country with the highest number of sales of smartphones in Asian pacific nations. India was expected to overtake America in smartphone sales. By 2016, an estimated count of 20.40 smartphone uses was expected in India.
This statistical report on the usage of smartphones need to be considered as a serious issue. It has to be keenly focused and analyzed whether this decrease in sale is due to any preplanning or happens by itself.
