Free food today at Amma Canteen

J Jayalalithaa has been sworn as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today. On the occasion of this, Chennai Corporation Mayor Saidai Duraisamy has decided to offer breakfast, lunch and dinner free of cost. There are 207 Amma Canteens in Chennai. Idly has been sold for Rs 1 and meals is sold for Rs 5. This is one of the unique schemes of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. After the acquittal of Jayalalithaa from the wealth disproportionate case, she has been sworn as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Saidai Duraisamy will bear the entire expenses.
