Yesterday there were thunderstorms in few districts of Tamil Nadu due to convective heat and air circulation. There was Hail rain in Vellore. Because of this the heat subsided. Agni Nakshatram which is the highest in the summer season began on 4th of this month. It comes to an end tomorrow. For the last 25 days the impact of the sun was very much.
In between there were rains in South Tamil Nadu because of convective heat. This reduced the impact of heat. At the same time it was very hot in North Tamil Nadu. Temperatures in Chennai and Vellore rose to 109 degrees. People suffered very much because of this. Because of this there was upper circulation of air. Now there are chances of rains.
Rains are expected in most districts of Tamil Nadu. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky condition would be partly cloudy. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 40 and 30 degree Celsius respectively.
