Waiting for 16 Hours for Darshan: Tirupathi temple!

Devotees currently need to wait for more than 16 hours to have a darshan of Lord Venkateswara.The devotees have made a contribution to the Hundi of Rs. 2.33 Crores in a single day.With the recent reopening of schools & colleges after the summer vacation, there was a considerable reduction in the number of devotees.

As per the data received at 5.00 Am (Friday, 20th June), all the 31 waiting halls in Vaikuntam complex were full of devotees waiting for Darshan.As the main deity of the Lord & His consorts are carried in processions on different Vahanas (carriages) during both day & night and bless the devotees, there is an overflow of crowd of devotees.

Though Brahmotsavam is celebrated every year, every once in 3 year, there are 2 Brahmotsavams celebrated in a single year.Accordingly, 2 Brahmotsavam are being celebrated this year.

First Brahmotsavam is scheduled between 16th September & 24th September.
Second Brahmotsavam is scheduled between 14th October & 22nd October.
This is called by the name of ‘Navarathri Brahmotsavam’!
