Maruti Ciaz performs well since launch

Since its launch in October 2014, Maruti Suzuki’s Ciaz has surprisingly overtaken most cars in the segment. The carmaker has sold 42,000 units in the country and has exported 9,000, making its cumulative sales 50,000 units. All this in just 8 months of its launch. The only car that overtakes the Ciaz is the Honda City.
Sales of cars in the segment between Oct. 2014 and May 2015 are:
Honda City - 62,702 units
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz - 42,023 units
Hyundai Verna - 20,786 units
Volkswagen Vento - 9,659 units
Skoda Rapid - 9,103 units
Nissan Sunny - 2,848 units
Ford Fiesta + Classic - 2,454 units
Fiat Linea - 1,569 units
Renault Scala - 1,074 units
