Visitors can have a glimpse of otters in Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur

New arrangements have been made to view the otters in Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur. Visitors can view the otters from a close range. The zoo possesses three otters –two male and a female and the enclosures were thrown open for public viewing on Sunday. Otters have the tendency of living with its pair and zoo authorities wanted the pair to have familial bonding and hence they set up a new enclosure for the older otter, living in the Zoo for some years now.
The new enclosure provides natural habitat for the animal along with a secure, cool resting place. Visitors can have a glimpse of the aquatic mammal through glass panes from three sides of the enclosure.
