The facility of providing online visa is set to commence at the Trichy airport from 15th of this month. Foreign tourists who visit India find it really tough to get their visa as it takes a long time for submitting the necessary documents at the Indian embassy and wait for the visa to reach their hands. It takes a minimum of 30 days for getting visa. This has created a huge disappointment among tourists to visit India.
In a move to untangle these issues and provide visa on time, the online facility is introduced by the civil rights department. In the first phase of the process, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkatta, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Cochi and Goa airports will receive the online facility. This new move is largely welcomed by all tourists.
Following this, airports at Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmadabad, Trichy, and few others will also receive the online visa facility for which the government has given its nod. Necessary works took place at the Trichy airport and the works are almost completed by 90% and the rest of the works are on the go in full swing. Necessary equipments like camera, biometric, and software tools are being installed. With this, visa for about 75 countries can be provided. Hence, the only delay in the process is the receipt of all software tools from these 75 nations. Officials promise this facility will be launched on 15th of July.
