MORE FIVE STAR HOTELS FOR CHENNAI

The Chennai five star hotel market is set to double in size. Leading the expansion mode is s Hilton, Hyatt, Leela and ITC, who are set to launch new properties.
Hilton is scheduled to open its new hotel with 204 rooms in Guindy,The Hyatt’s Ramee Mall is coming up with 327 rooms on Anna Salai, The Leela is set launch the Adyar creek with 330 rooms near beach and The ITC Chennai planning the the largest of them all will have 600 rooms.
T Nataraajan, honorary secretary of Southern India Hotel and Restaurant Association (SIHRA) and CEO of GRT Hotels said that Chennai which currently has 2000 rooms in that Star hotel segment would post expansions would have more than 3500 rooms.
