Former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam advices parents to spend long hours with children by reading books instead of watching TV with them. The 90th anniversary of Indian association of industry trade saw participation from Dr Kalam.
Speaking at the event Dr Kalam said he happened to get in talks with 3000 farmers who were doing organic agriculture. He said he desires to produce products from these farms, enhance their quality to international standards and encourage organic agriculture.
There is a school launched at Aravakuruchi in the name of his teacher. I have so far not seen any school started in the name of teachers. I feel proud for having visited the school, he added.
Read books:
We need to promote organic agriculture and create a situation where we all consume naturally available products. And parents at home should avoid watching TV and get engaged in reading books with their children. Only then will our children grow as intellectual individuals and we can create an intellectual world.
He then pointed that it is good to see small businessmen to get connected through website and social media sites.
