In its fourth quarter, the software giant Microsoft has seen an historic dip, says the company itself. Microsoft announced its income details in the fourth quarter of 2015 today. In this report, it was stated that the company has faced a historic loss and that there was a loss of 3.2 billion dollar in the past three months.

Finance experts say the reason behind such a dip is the purchase of Nokia and sacking of thousands of employees from the same.

Nokia the company which was facing a severe loss in 2012 was acquired by Microsoft with 720 crore dollars. During that period, the market value of Nokia was considerably low. In addition to purchasing Nokia, Microsoft also made few changes and revamped the unit. However, as there has not been good reception to Windows phones in the market, Nokia phones did not fetch with the expected profit. This loss is also told be a result of few changes made with Microsoft.

As Windows 10 is set to get released by the end of this month, the loss faced by the company has pulled Microsoft so down. There are arguments that Microsoft will get back its position after the launch of Windows 10 by this month.
