It may be that your whereabouts are known to those who are in close contacts with – probably your spouse, kids, family and friends to whom you keep talking often. And now, Google will know it too depending on how far you access your Google Maps and it new Google Now.
According to an announcement by Google made this month, a new feature called Your Timeline will tell about your whereabouts at specific time and date. This feature is gradually getting rolled out which was started in the web and later on to phones that use Google’s Android Operating System. This is told to be of help in remembering the places one have been. Say, the trips you have taken so far or the fun places you visited.
Google project manager Gerard Sanz in his recent blog post says this timeline will let you visualize the real world routines you have been through. This feature is also an indication of the total data collected by Google from its users. Where a person has been, what they have searched online, and few other details are taken under consideration by Google for the same.
