With all political leaders and social service enthusiasts emphasizing the necessity for every Indian Citizen to cast his/her vote, Election Commission had conducted competitions towards this awareness creation.
Now, Election Commission has decided to renew the competitions for creating awareness for the Indian Citizens to vote.
Election Commission has announced that the competition under the topic, `voting is my duty` in different sections.
Tamil Nadu Election Commissioner Sandeep Saxena informed the Election Commission has been conducting different competitions in order to create awareness among the citizens the importance to vote. Now, EC is set to start the 4th series of Internet Competitions.
The current topic is `Let us make all defence personnel and working personnel to vote`.
An essay or a short film or a poster conveying this topic can be prepared and sent.
Competitors can send their inputs to website
www.eci.nic.in before 31st August. Enthusiastic voters are requested to participate and help create this awareness.
Results of the 1st two series of competition on this front have been announced Tamil Nadu Election Chief, Mr. Sandeep Saxena.. The topic of the 1st series was `Youth’s role in elections`. Mr. S V Arunprasad (from Madurai) in slogan-writing section and Jabir Khan (from Coimbatore) in short-film section are the winners.
The topic of the 2nd series was `Women`s role in election`. Sakthi Rajaji (from Chennai) in poster section and Jabir Khan in short-film section are the winners.
