Unite Nations has informed that there are no prospects of reduction in the increasing trend of human population. On the contrary, it is all quite possible that the world human population may cross the 1100 crore mark before the end of this century.
The census department of United Nations has released the latest report on this. World population, which is currently 7.3 billion (730 Crores), is likely to touch 9.7 billion (970 Crores) by 2050.
By the end of the century, it is estimated to be between 9,7 billion and 13.3 billion. It also mentions African countries will play a large role in this population increase.
Asia continent currently has the maximum population. By the middle of this century, it will continue to have 5.3 billion.
After a few decades, the number of old people will increase in India. Hence, UN has cautioned India to take all necessary preventive measures such as old age pension, etc.
