Chennai Metro rail services Alandur-St Thomas Mount & Airport-Chinamalai from November

Chennai Metro Rail officials informed that the services between Alandur & Chinnamalai will commence from November.
Currently, the section between Koyambedu & Alandur is in operation in the 2nd corridor project. Now, the service for the section between Alandur & Parangimalai is set to start.
Chennai Metro Rail Project authorities have planned to commence the services between Airport & Chinnamalai in the 1st corridor simultaneously.
Hence, test runs are being planned between the sections mentioned above in both the corridors. Activities to commence test run are in full swing.
Services between Koyambedu & Egmore in the 2nd corridor (underground) are scheduled to start from March 2016.
The test run between Koyambedu & Shenoy Nagar is planned in November.
It is expected and on schedule that entire Chennai Metro Rail Project will be completed in 2017 and the services will be in operation.
