O. Pannerselvam announces about new bridges

New bridges and causeways will be built across the state at a cost of Rs 80 crore during this fiscal year, said PWD Minister O Panneerselvam.
He took part in a debate that discussed about the demand for grants for the department. The minister said a new bridge will be constructed across Buckingham canal in Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram and that the project cost will be Rs 9.97 crore. Further, across Vari in Viralimalai Taluk of Pudukottai, a causeway will also be constructed. There will be other similar projects across Therkaru in Tirumangalam and Venkatasamudram village.
The existing bridge across Pampuri channel in Colachel village in Kanyakumari district will also be reconstructed. Laying a bituminous road at the either channels of Vaniyaru reservoir, Dharmapuri district was also announced.
