According to a survey, nearly 90 percent of employees feel that their organizations show no pay parity for employees working in the same role or level. The survey was conducted by a platform of TimesJobs.com called JobBuzz.com in which it is said that employees believe there are external hires and favorites.

Speaking about this, the CEO of TimesJobs.com Vivek Madhukar said these aberrations and misperceptions need to be properly met by the employers as these will have direct impact on the motivation, productivity, loyalty and performance of the employees.

While there are about 40 percent professionals who say that external hires stand as the reason for this disparity in salary, 35 percent of them say this is due to favoritisms of managers and 5 percent of the professionals say this disparity is due to individual performances.

Madhukar also added that it is important for the companies to conduct salary benchmarking surveys and make corrections in the inequalities in the compensation given to the workforce. This will be of great help in meeting employee expectations and bring about a betterment in performance and motivation levels of employees.
