Nemmeli desalination plant to be shut for maintenance

The Nemmeli desalination plant, which supplies water to several areas in south Chennai, will be shut for routine maintenance on September 21st and 22nd.
The plant will be shut from 6am on September 21st to 6am on September 22nd.
Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, which is in charge of the plant`s maintenance, has made alternate arrangements for water supply to areas like Adyar, Velachery, Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, East Coast Road , Neelankarai, Sholinganallur, Kottivakkam, Palavakkam and Perungudi, which will be affected by the work.
