Healthy Food Recipes - Moong dal Sweet / Paasiparuppu Sweet

Ingredients

1. Moong Dal (Paasi Paruppu) – 1 cup
2. Sugar – 1 cup
3. Ghee – 100 gram or ½ cup
4. Cashew Nuts – 10 nos.

Method to Prepare:

  1. Heat the pan without oil and dry roast the moong dal well by keeping the stove in low flame.



  2. Roast the dal, till the nice aroma arises and allow the dal to cool for some time.



  3. Then grind the roasted moong dal to a fine powder using a mixer.



  4. It is better to sieve the grinded moong dal powder and keep it aside.



  5. Then in the same way, grind the sugar well and mix the sugar powder to the moong dal powder.



  6. Heat the ghee in a pan and roast the cashew nut pieces.
  7. Then slowly add the ghee little by little in the sugar and moong dal powder mix and stir continuously using a ladle and mix well.



  8. When the mix gets warm, prepare a small ball or in any shape as your wish.
  9. Healthy and attractive Moong Dal Sweet is ready to serve!!!



  10. Store it in an air tight container and you can consume it till a week time.



Benefits:

If the ghee ratio is less, then you will not be able to make balls. So at that time you can add little more ghee than the given measure mentioned in the ingredients.
Based on your taste buds, you can increase the sugar ratio in this sweet.
It is always advisable to add melted and warm ghee to the dish.
You can prepare this dish in any shape as per your child’s desire.
You can prepare this dish in a very short time easily.
