1792 tons of Bengal-gram reaches India – prospects of price reduction

Bengal-gram weighing 1792 tons, exported from foreign countries, has reached India on 23rd & 24th September. They have been transported to the markets. Hence, it is expected that the current price of Bengal-gram will come down.
In the 2nd phase of imports, another 5000 tons of Bengal-gram is expected to reach Indian Ports by 1st October. Reliable sources from the ministry of food inform that a load of onion is expected to reach India by 3rd October. A load of black-gram is expected to reach India by 20th October.
The officials of the Food Ministry Department informed that these are expected to be sent to different states based on the demand.
