Tamil Nadu State Government on WhatsApp

The Information and Publicity Department of the State government is taking efforts to send all news, press releases and pictures of government functions through WhatsApp to media organizations, television news channels and its representatives.
A press release from Tamil Nadu Government says, It will help reach the news quickly and they can receive it wherever they are.
The Information and Publicity Department of the State government in working round-the-clock to send the press releases from the Chief Minister`s office and that of Ministers, photographs and videos to the over 200-odd media houses through e-mail and video tapes. They confirm the news reaching the respective organizations through SMS.
Following instructions from Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, all these are uploaded in the website http://www.tndipr.gov.in/ to ensure easy and quick download by media organizations. Now efforts are being taken to send the same through WhatsApp.
