A recent report establishes that out of all road accidents happening across the world, 10% are happening in India.
A former high-official in the department of road security under World Bank, Mr. Stein Lundaby, informed this in a recent event conducted in Delhi.
He mentioned that it was a matter for serious concern that 10% of all road accidents in the world happen in India especially against the background that India owns only 3% of all vehicles across the world.
He further informed that many deaths have not been officially registered and if this is done, the details regarding accidental deaths will be alarming.
He also informed that if traffic rules are followed properly, most of the deaths could be reduced considerably.
