The academic show offs actually do well, says study

A new study published in the Journal of Research in Personality says that the `know it alls` are more talented academically.
The study was conducted on 135 participants. The participants did not know each other. They were split into groups of 3, 4 or 5 and spent 45 minutes sharing their thoughts. The conversations including strengths and weaknesses. They also brainstormed about theoretical scenarios and worked on math and verbal questions. After this, they discussed their results.
The results of the study showed that those who were over confident were better in academics, especially when it came to individual coursework.
