The central government has informed that the price of pulses have started falling throughout the country.
On this front, an official from the Department of Consumer Affairs informed that the price of Bengal-gram, which was sold at Rs. 210/- per kg, has reduced by Rs. 20/- and now being sold at Rs. 190/- per kg.
The official further explained that inspections were carried out and hoarded materials were sent to the market causing the above price reduction.
Inspections were carried out at 8394 places in 12 states across the country and 82462 tons of pulses were confiscated.
