Bharat Sangeet Utsav to begin at Narada Gana Sabha

The annual Bharat Sangeet Utsav will be held at Narada Gana Sabha from 30 October to 8 November between 2.30 pm and 9 pm.
To commemorate M.S. Subbulakshmi`s birth centenary, the Utsav will begin with a symphony consisting of 100 children. An official of the Carnatica Archival Centre for Music and Dance said, This year, we have planned unique events, which include combo concerts that involve a senior and a youngster... Neyveli Santhanagopalan with S. Sowmya presenting Vainika- Gayika and Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman with Sikkil C. Gurucharan presenting Sri Arunagirinatharin Anuboothi, would give combo concerts. A Grammy Meet - in which Grammy Award winners Pandit Vishvamohan Bhat and Vikku Vinayakram will perform together - has also been planned. Aruna Sairam, Nithyasree Mahadevan and Vijay Siva would be performing. Sanjay Subrahmanyan will be felicitated. The finale would be marked by Bharat Sangeet in which musicians Anil Srinivasan and Sashank would present a medley.
