Sporadic rains in Tamil Nadu: Heavy rains expected today

There have been rains in various places of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar districts.
There were heavy rains in Chromepet, Guindy, Meenambakkam and Kodambakkam. Due to rains there was heavy stagnation of water.
Heavy rains lashed in Arumuganeri near Thiruchendur in Thoothukudi District. Farmers say that these rains will be very helpful for the harvest.
Yesterday evening there was rains in Virudhunagar and its surrounding areas. Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rains today in many parts of Tamil Nadu.
