Free laptops for plus 2 students to be supplied in the academic year

Though there is practice of supplying free laptops to plus 2 students, it was only given to them after their completion of studies. From this year the laptops will be given to the students while they are studying.
The Tamil Nadu Government taking into the consideration of the welfare of the students has been giving every year 14 educational kits including note books, school bags and laptops.
Free laptops are distributed to the students studying in government and government aided schools. It is helpful to the students when they pursue the higher studies. Lots of economical weaker students are benefitted by this free laptop.
This laptop was so far given to the students who have completed the plus 2. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha has now ordered that these free laptops should be given beforehand. Accordingly the distribution of free laptops commenced yesterday.
