Renault-Nissan appoints Kou Kimura as CEO, MD

Renault-Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd has appointed Kou Kimura as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for its Chennai manufacturing facility with effect from April 1
Kimura, who was senior vice president for plant operations, replaces Akira Sakurai, who steered the initial phase of production, according to a company statement.
Sakurai has been appointed senior vice president for manufacturing and industrial engineering division at the company’s corporate headquarters in Japan.
Kimura, a mechanical engineering graduate, has been with the company for the past 34 years and has held various positions at the Nissan headquarters in Japan and also in the UK.
