Govt Officials to Step in to New Homes by Jan

All the houses that are being constructed under the scheme Your own home for police officers, fire service men and prison officers are to be handed over to the respective officials during the month of January
Over 10 acres land is identified from various places and houses are constructed under Your own home scheme. This is done via Police Housing Corporation. The scheme was announced by Chief Minister Jayalalitha on 3rd of May 2012.
Many places across Tamil Nadu were selected under this scheme. In addition, schools, primary healthcare centers, playground, departmental stores, etc are additional features added to the premises. There are hospitals to attend outpatients too. Orders were rolled out by the CM following which 2673 houses are being built in full swing at a cost of Rs 456 crore.
