A new low depression zone has formed over the South-east Arabian Sea.
Director of Chennai meteorological Centre, Mr. Ramanan, informed that the recent cyclonic zone developed over Tamil Nadu has transformed convectional low depression zone and moved westwards and stabilised near Lakshadweep.
Because of this, there will be heavy rains in Western Hill Range in the districts of Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dinidgul, Nellai, and Kumari.
There will be wide-spread rains in Tamil Nadu and Pudhucherry.
Chennai will be cloudy. It may rain in some areas. The low depression formed yesterday over south Andhra has gone away.
As of the current moment, it is already raining in Chennai in areas like Saidapet, Vadapalani, Guindy, West Mambalam, Pallavaram, Anna Salai, Eekkathuthangal, Meenambakkam and Vandalur.
