Ms. Stella, an officer in the Chennai Meteorological Centre, informed that the cyclonic convection formed over the South Andaman Region has moved towards west at 8.30 AM today (Thursday, 26th November) and has formed as a low pressure zone.

This low pressure zone is currently moving westwards and settled over the Southeast Bay of Bengal. There are prospects of this to develop into a wind-pressure zone in the next 24 hours.

If this intensifies into a low wind pressure form, there are prospects of rain in coastal districts and delta districts tomorrow (Friday, 27th November).

There will be heavy rains in the coastal districts on 28th & 29th November.

Especially, there are very bright prospects for very heavy rains on 29th November. There might be rainfall from 12 cm to 24 cm.
