Help is pouring in from various sources for residents of flood hit Chennai.
SBI, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, has come forward to address EMI & card payment related difficulties and ATM issues.
A press release said, Mobile ATM vantage points have been facilitated by Canara Bank from December 4 and are continuing, 40 mobile POS machines have been placed at important sites.
Three months salary as instant loan is being provided and penal interest is waived for EMI due and not paid in November and December this year.
Also, 10 percent of value of house/car is being provided as loan for repairs to house or car to existing borrowers without processing charges, new ATM cards are being provided free of cost for lost or damaged ones and consumption loans are being provided up to Rs. 10,000 for existing borrowers of the bank without any security, the release said.
Syndicate Bank announced in a press release that no service charge would be levied on customers for using other banks ATM cards at their ATM for the next three months in Tamil Nadu.
