The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J.Jayalalitha has announced that a special camp will be set up for repairing all two wheelers and autos that got affected in the recent flood in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur and Cuddalore districts. The camp will be held between 12th an 21st of this month.
Excerpts from the noticed rolled out by the CM is as follows:
Several two wheelers and auto rickshaws are damaged in the recent flood in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, and Cuddalore. I came to know that these vehicles need to be immediately repaired and got ready for use as most areas are getting drained and getting back to normalcy. I have requested TVS Motor Company Ltd, India Yamaha Limited, Bajaj Motors Limited and Eicher Motors to provide free service for all these damaged bikes.
They have also agreed for the same and will provide free service to all the two wheelers and autos that got affected by rain.
The special camp for repairing all bikes and auto rickshaws in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur and Cuddalore districts will take place for ten days between 12th and 21st December. This free service will be done through 200 agents across these four districts. Details of venue of these camps will be announced on the official website of Tamil Nadu government.
All owners of two wheelers and auto rickshaws can get their vehicles repaired for free, she added in her announcement.
